Mas Moreta is a large mansion house with a long history. The first written documents we have which refer to the house go back to the year 1300 when the "Mas" or house first belonged to the Moreta family.
The house, along with the church of St. Julia (consecrated in 839) and the surrounding labourers' houses form an architectural site of artistic, cultural and historical interest.
We still have a large number of the ancient parchment documents which relate to the house and to the family, as well as antique furniture and other instruments such as tools which act as testament to the way in which our ancestors lived in this mountainous region. The surrounding scenery and the region's agreeable climate bear up the claim that our predecessors made a wise decision when they chose to live in this marvellous area.
